A family with roots in the Douro region, more concretely in the Cima Corgo sub-region; with deep connections to the land, the vineyard and their customs. Committed to the production of quality grapes

for sale to the large producing houses of Port.
Irreverent, audacious and dreamy! A family that believes in the details; which clears emotions; which overflows with passion; a family that chooses 2014 to vinify part of its production and take to itself,
a part of you.

The FSB Pedigree wine is the homage to our grandparents, since it was through them that we had the first contact with the land and the vineyards, transmitting us the passion for the region and the vineyards. For this wine we chose two distinct vineyards, the only similarity being the great mixture of native grape varieties and the average age of 80 years. We chose a plot at an altitude of 250m, next to the Douro River, which is a warmer zone, giving rise to more concentrated wines.
The second vineyard is the opposite, that is, we chose a vineyard at an altitude close to 500m, which is a cooler area, giving rise to wines with more freshness and elegant. Vinifying everything together, we want the FSB Pedigree wine, be it a Classic Douro, but fresh, that turns it into a timeless wine.

Manual Harvesting, fermentation in mills with foot steps, partial desengace (60%), indigenous yeasts.
Stage of 18 months in French oak barrels 225Lts, 50% new / 50% used.

Ruby intense and concentrated.
Amora of great complexity and elegance, result of the wide stage in bottle, where the aromas predominate the fruits of the forest and black fruit, slight nuances of spice and balsamic aromas, coming
of its barrel stage.
Fruity, firm tannins, but well involved in the body and volume of the wine, a very present acidity that gives it a long and persistent finish.

Winemaker: Pedro Branco.
